After went extensive Christmas breakfast at the hotel it back into the room where we finally sat down with the hitherto obscure electronics apart.
Mirjam fought since we moved into the Swissotel the master board on their nightstand. Somehow never went to the light they would like to control from there. But our laptop does not work, because we had it plugged into the socket, which had to be on motherboard and turned on in addition to the wall.
The system with the "Do Not Disturb" electronics, we had not really see through. This one had to press a button and then lighted on a sign outside that we did not want to be disturbed. On the other hand, there was a button with the call to clean the room, probably informed the housekeeping directly.
side was the toilet, there is another switch that when pressed to it, visitors and staff announced by neon sign to wait a moment.
top of this, Beate fought constantly with the Abspülautomatik the toilet. This only worked with sensor and did not always what she wanted.
Now that we clearly came with our room, we headed to the working up of the blog and were back up to date with our reports. Unfortunately the weather was not exactly as we imagined had and we decided to have a short nap.
Then we ventured out into the drizzle and explored the surrounding area. Even before we had seen that huge crowds in front of the shop windows of the store, "David Jones" were. Today was a lot more quiet and we were able to see everything accurately.
We were fascinated by the fantastic scenes that were shown there. Puppets were moved by strings, and each window had the theme of a Christmas carol. Each character moves differently, and all the children and the adults had fun at the elaborate window dressing.
We had planned to go for a stroll through Hyde Park, but it rained too much and we found ourselves once again exactly the "Queen Victoria Building", it's about us in our many brochures had been smart. It was completed in 1898, Pierre Cardin has called the most beautiful shopping center in the world. In the 50 years it should already be demolished because it was very run down, but it was then restored again for years and is now a beautiful shopping center with a stylish Victorian elegance.
thank God We still remain a few days in Sydney and so we went through the almost empty streets of the city back to the hotel. Then again, the case turned upside down, shows the elegant blouses and pants dug (which we have on our journey really not needed) and for the first time since our trip to Broadway in New York even the make-up bags were used again.
fresh aufgestylt we went in the 24th Stick to our free snack and used the time there as an aperitif and match for our elegant Christmas dinner, we had reserved at the hotel restaurant.
Once there, we were led to a beautiful table and stormed out shortly we already have the buffet. What was there not to see everything: barramundi fillet, grilled snapper, tiger prawns - flamed with Pernot, mussels in white wine sauce, blue swimmer crab, Sydney rock oysters, grilled octopus. In addition there was a lot of vegetables and side dishes. For the non-fish eaters, there was a whole honey-mustard ham or turkey.
we were particularly impressed by the wide range of desserts, traditional Christmas sweets and chocolate fountains.
As we sat there and ate in front of us we found out once again that we are not sooo bad. We also had fun with the table decorations belonging to the crackers we tearing up the same time and at the way the other guests, decorated with paper crowns.
adopted After this excellent meal we are in the room, where, as usual, was our work with writing the report before us.
